Hot, and some nasty flies and no-see-um types. Many small mosquitoes outside. Ran Flap on beach and swam getting cool. Back for breakfast of bacon, eggs, bread, -then went to the Estero to fish and swim. Very (underlined) hot in the desert but cooled off swimming. Many mosquitoes in the salt marsh! We were all bitten a million times- came back to house for hamburgers and beer- a nice sea breeze cooling us down a bit. The shady porch is great. The 16th at night very hot. Gambel's Quail on the way down. Mourning dove and white-winged doves on the way down.
