Pirated Huttlinger DVD

Dear Happy,

It seems to be the entire DVD for free again.

You may remember me as I found the DVD for free on YouTube in 2016, and you were able to shut them down. Here’s the correspondence if you don’t remember. (Sorry; my old computer has the actual email file so I’ll attach the image of it that I saved.)

There’s more. The reason I ran across this pirated copy is that I was just Googling my grandmother’s name (Ida Nell Ainsworth) and found references to Huttlinger’s Wonderful World of Chords in the search because my grandma’s name is on my personal web page along with references to Pete Huttlinger and the pirated video. I got more than I expected; the enemtualleecip.firebaseapp.com site seems to be related to the old pirating. The site seems to have removed the stuff from their pirated offerings. It has a big Ø on it and says in Spanish that there was a complaint and request to remove it by the DMCA but you might want to check it out.

Here’s the search results that started all this:

Anyhow, I then was interested, so I made the search and found the compete DVD online for free (that you’ll want to get rid of) —and ALSO something else. You may have an agreement with Groove3 to offer the first chapter of the Huttlinger DVD free as a sample:

as well as your own “Freight Train” lesson from Easy Fingerpicking Favorites:

The samples are 9 minutes and 39 seconds for Pete’s and 7:19 for yours. Since I’ve noticed you usually offer samples of about two minutes I thought that this might not be on the up and up. If you have an agreement with them, please disregard.

With every good wish,

Tom Cole

Happy,

Thanks for your email. It’s a shame that in the digital age people can violate copyrights and get away with it. Glad that all is well with Groove3.

Yours,

Tom Cole
