Lewis's Woodpecker 11/23/1972 Daley Park May 2000 I write now: Dad and I saw this bird. He said now that's a Lewis's woodpecker. I believe it was up on a palm tree.

Lewis's Woodpecker 05/22/2009 Northern Arizona Museum The last time I saw one was on November 22 of 1972. That was thirty-seven years ago!!! I went at about 6:30 in the morning as last time I was there I was told you had to get there early to see the Lewis's.

Lewis's Woodpecker 05/27/2009 Old Main This was by Old Main. In sight of it at least. To the west of the chow hall. TWO OF THEM SQUAWKING.

Lewis's Woodpecker 5/22/2010 Northern Arizona Museum Sally and I went to the Museum early in the morning and saw this bird. There were perhaps four of them hanging around.

Lewis's Woodpecker 7/22/2011 Northern Arizona Museum Got him easy. Two actually. Just go early in the morning behind the museum in the summer.

IT'S SEPTEMBER 14 AND I HAVEN'T SEEN ONE IN OVER NINE YEARS!
